Clean House

I was over a friend's house yesterday, which brought up a good topic of discussion. How do people feel about people not having a clean living area? Personally there is a certain level of uncleanliness I can tolerate, but if I have to constantly wash something before I have to use and after washing it, I'm still uncertain about its cleanliness, then you might have a problem. I know unkemptness [Editor's Note: I think you just made up a word] is a trait many women don't find attractive, there's nothing sexy about a pile of dishes in sink! Also not keeping your living area clean also says a lot about your character (which probably isn't much)! When having guest over nothing can ruin a good time like some trash or bugs, or a combination of the two. Also not being tidy makes guest not want to relax, for fear of touching something that could be harmful for their life.

Note Taking Tips

I've decided to start a section about note taking and ways to improve your note taking skills. Now this mostly applies to college students, but there are jobs out there that require you to take notes, especially during meeting or presentations, whatever. So I thought it would be a good idea to introduce a new tip every week or so. Feel free to email us whatever you do to help you take better notes! So here it is the first tip:

Split Page Method
Class lectures and your textbook--they're the primary sources of course content and you need to learn both. So combine them with the split page method of taking notes. Just divide your notebook page in half lengthwise. Draw a line down the middle of the page. Take class notes on one side of the page and outline the text on the other side. When you study you'll have both. Class notes and text together, integrated. Some students find it helpful to add a third column for questions they need to ask the professor.

For You Students Out There

I guess it only makes sense, since most of us over here are students that the first official post should have to do with doing well in school. And the first you need to know is; to do well in school you have to have the right tools. You wouldn't try to dig a swimming pool with a fork, so why would you try to do the same thing with your school work? If you have the right tools you can start working in the right direction towards you education ( STRAIGHT 'A's!!!!!! Right...lol)! I feel the most important thing is a computer, better yet a laptop! A laptop is portable, and it will be pretty hard to find a campus that doesn't have wifi. Amazon has a good list of laptops, I got mine off of Amazon for a great deal! But for those who aren't PC lover I found some macs that would be great also; Macs! There is nothing like taking notes on your laptop while in class (editor's note: You mean playing games to stop you from being the idiot sleeping in class!). Another big thing is a printer (with INK!!!!) and paper. You don't understand how much it sucks to have to pay the school even MORE money to print out your school work! So having a printer on had with EXTRA BLACK INK is a must!! Plus if you're the person with the good printer people will come to your dorm room to print things out, so why not make some of your money back and charge them! Also another great thing to have is a USB! The larger the better there is nothing more worst then working all night on a paper and when you go to save it, then you find out your USB is FULL!!! Also the USB is portable, so you don't have to carry your laptop everywhere with you! This are just a few essentials right there. Will post more throughout the blog. If you need any of the supplies we mentioned in the post feel free to visit our Amazon Store. to pick up any of the items you need!

P.S. Amazon had this crazy gadget called the The Kindle that can hold books, newspapers, magazine, etc. for you to read! I thought it was interesting, I personal have never used it, but if anyone has let me know how it is. You might be able to download your textbooks to it which would me amazing! You would never have to lug around another heavy text book again!
